HOW DID INVENTION OF THE TELEGRAPH INFLUENCE HISTORY?

The invention of the telegraph influenced history in many ways:

• The invention of the telegraph  influenced history socially because it would help send information around the world much faster. The military would use this new innovation to send secret information and messages to allies during the war. In the United States, telegraph were used to communicate between stations (railroad) which was very affective. This made traveling easier as people now knew exactly when trains would departure and where they would go. 

• The telegraph also influenced history economically. This was because people use to pay to deliver messages which the Pony Express has done however with the invention of the telegraph, people would pay to use the telegraph in order to send messages since it was faster. It also created many manufacturing and business opportunities as the demand for wire companies and telegraph related companies increased. 

• The telegraph affected the world politically. It was political because country leaders would use the telegraph in order to communicate with each other. For example, during major wars people would contact other major cities about plans or ideas they had. This turned many tables and made it much more efficient as a lot of time was saved.
